- My child’s attendance has been deteriorating over the last 2 years, until this month when we are at crisis point. As a parent we are getting little support, despite school, social care, CAHMS, and pediatricians having involvement and being aware of her rapid deterioration in attendance.
- I want my child to be in school but fear I am being pushed intonhome education, which is something I am strongly against.
- My child should be receiving an educational but only managed 7 days of school in January and 4 hours in February.
- I have begged and pleaded for CAHMS to have involvement for over 2 years and despite a Neurologist requesting this, it has been extremely difficult to access support.
- CAHMS are now offering minimal support. They have diagnised Catotonia, Transition Anxiety and Sensory Processing Disorder but then put no measures in place to support this.
- CAHMS have introduced a 3 day timetable. I would like to know what the expection is the other 2 days a week? My child should be educated 5 days a week. At the moment we have managed 4 hours in the last 2 weeks of the proposed timetable.
- Schools need to be putting measures in place to deal with children’s mental health issues as at the moment, from experience, it’s non existent.
- There is a lot of media coverage about nentsl health but in reality there is no support out there.
- Too many deaths due to mental health issues and more appropriate support needs to be made available ASAP
